Mount Whitney 14,505' - California's Highest point April 27-29, 2018
At 14,505', Mt. Whitney is the highest peak in the State of California and the highest peak in the contiguous United States. We did a spring snow ascent from April 27-29, 2018, camping along the way. We also climbed 3 other summits above 14,000': Keeler Needle 14,245', Crooks Peak 14,174 and Mount Muir 14,012'. To round out our trip, we visited the lowest point in California and the Western Hemisphere: Badwater Basin in Death Valley (-282 feet).
