Mount Massive 14,421' - Colorado's 2nd highest peak                                                July 24, 2018
Ricardo's 1st ascent was on July 5, 1998 (via the East Slopes route)

Ulyana and Ricardo hiked Massive's west side after doing Hagerman Peak in the Elks. Being the second highest peak in Colorado (and the entire Rocky Mountain range) and being surrounded by many of the highest peaks, the views were beautiful!

On the way down from the summit Ulyana continued down the ascent route while Ricardo ran down and up South Massive (a 14,000' unranked summit he had never done) and then down to rejoin Ulyana lower on the trail.

9.4 miles hiked 4433 vertical feet gained with hike of Mount Massive and South Massive 14,132'.

Unfortunately the Relive app is really finicky and it did not capture the very beginning of the ascent nor the ascent of South Massive and the descent back to the trailhead.
