Ricardo first climbed Missouri Mountain on August 30, 1999, via the West Ridge. He recalls descending in hail! He did Emerald Peak (along with the unranked Iowa Peak) on September 11, 2011. 

Ulyana did Missouri Mountain, Iowa Peak, and Emerald Peak with her friend, Kateryna, on a day with perfect weather - blue skies and no precipitation or storm threat. The route ended up being 13.7 miles with just over 6,000 vertical feet gained. After the 3 peaks, they needed to gain a bit more altitude to go over Elkhead Pass and reconnect to the main trail back to the trailhead. Emerald Peak marked Ulyana's 60th Centennial!
