Cheaha Mountain 2407' - Alabama's High point                                               November 14, 2018

For our second state highpoint on our southern tour, we drove to Cheaha Mountain in freezing rain. Given the nasty, cold and extremely wet conditions and the fact that Ricardo's mom was with us and we knew after this one we had to drive quite a bit to be in position to hike Georgia's high point the next day: we actually just drove to the top!

This is something we never do since we always like to keep these activities as much of a mountaineering experience as possible. When possible and when weather allows, we always hike as much as we can, given our available time.
